June is the start of the Miami summer season and the restaurant scene is heating up.

Some of Miami's favorite chefs have opened new ventures, including Timon Balloo (Balloo Wallah), Adrianne Calvo (Forte by Chef Adrianne Calvo), and Benjamin Murray (Benh Mi).

One of Miami's most-loved eateries, the Local Craft Food & Drink, closed its doors after more than a decade in Coral Gables. (In an Instagram post announcing the closure, the management promised another project is in the works.) The Taco Spot, a favorite among Hollywood beachgoers, has closed.

In July, look forward to the reopenings of Jaguar Sun and Wood Tavern, along with the opening of Don's 5 Star Dive Bar by Kush Hospitality.
