Publix is giving hummus and guac a run for their money with their new limited edition "Publix Volcano Roll Dip," and the internet is already erupting with reviews and hot takes. The new spicy, savory, and, dare we say, umami dip is made with sweet Thai chili sauce, gochujang (Korean chili paste that makes everything better), imitation crab meat, shredded carrots, and green onion. It's basically a sushi roll that ditched the rice, skipped the seaweed, and said, "Pass me the tortilla chips."
On TikTok, the dip is going viral, with people shocked that it's delicious, but with others saying it doesn't have enough heat to be deemed "Volcano" level.

It's Getting Crab-Tastic Reviews
But honestly, it works. Influencers like @sarahmargareteats are helping the new dip go viral, and even recommend eating it as a topping instead of a dip. "You can probably use it as a topping for tacos, fries, or tempura," she says in her review on TikTok. People commented, "I ate this all last week for lunches at work. So good with Ritz crackers!" and "Just snagged a few. It definitely needs some cream cheese and soy! It tastes great, but it's too runny!"So far, the most delicious way we've seen the dip used is as a filling for seaweed wrappers. People are saying, "I just bought this, too. I ate mine with some rice and cucumbers, and added soy sauce and toasted sesame oil. So good!"

People are getting very creative with the new Asian-inspired Publix dip

Publix, we don't know what you're putting in these dips, but keep it coming. Just maybe give us a heads-up before the next one goes viral. We need time to clear out fridge space.
