Winner of New Times' Best Barbecue 2024, Apocalypse BBQ has announced on Instagram that three of its most popular sauces are officially bottled and ready to pour, dip, or drench. For now, they're available only in-store, a detail punctuated by an eye emoji in the post that has regulars convinced a wider rollout could be coming.
The lineup features "Oro Negro," a cafecito-infused barbecue sauce that regulars swear by for ribs and wings; "Carolina Mojo Mustard," a tangy, zesty mustard-based option often paired with brisket; and the "OG Sauce," a smoky-sweet staple built for pulled pork.

From the Smoker to Your Pantry
Owner Jeff Budnechky first launched Apocalypse BBQ in 2022, turning a pandemic backyard smoking project into one of Miami’s most talked-about barbecue spots. Earlier this year, the business moved from its Southwest 104th Street home into a larger Kendall Village space at 8695 SW 124th Ave., giving customers more seating and elbow room, though the no-reservations policy still stands. The new bottles offer fans a way to get a fix without waiting in the restaurant's famous lines. Just grab a few on your way out and relive the flavor at home.
If Instagram is any indication, demand is going to be high. Comments poured in within hours of the announcement. "I want five of each!" wrote one fan. Another declared, "Need them all!" Others called for bulk orders, with one pleading for "ten gallons of the 'Oro Negro'" and another predicting the same sauce would "be sold out quick af."@eatandbehappy_ You can now buy all the @Apocalypse BBQ sauces in bottles too! Plenty skipped the words altogether, dropping rows of fire emojis or urging friends to "run, don’t walk."
For Now, In-Restaurant Only
The bottles are available exclusively at the restaurant in Kendall, and there are no shipping or online sales yet. Some customers asked for the return of the restaurant’s "Mango Tango" sauce, while others pushed for nationwide shipping.Whether you grab one or all three, just know the regulars are watching the shelves closely. If Instagram predictions are correct, "Oro Negro" might be the first to disappear.
