After Jamie DeRosa recently left his position as executive chef at Tudor House, he put his efforts into a project of a different sort — getting ready for the arrival of his first child with wife Amy Spagnole DeRosa.
The couple welcomed baby Isabela Grace on August 14 at 6:45 p.m. Their new daughter weighed in at 7 pounds, 3/4 oz. Both mother and baby are doing fine.
A clearly ecstatic DeRosa shared his thoughts about this new chapter in his life, “It was much easier becoming a
father than being one. I will cherish her every day until she becomes a
young lady only to wish she was a baby once again. I thought my life was
complete before, now I truly know what I was missing.”
As for DeRosa’s next baby (and by baby, we mean kitchen), DeRosa is looking for locations in Miami that “match a
fun and exciting concept, that’s social, interactive and neighborly.”
