If you can look past the heavy traffic long enough to appreciate some art you'll know that Art Basel is in town and it's Art Week in Miami. From South Beach to Wynwood and the Design District to Coral Gables and beyond, this year seems to have brought more events, activations, and art installations than ever before.

This is why New Times has put together various lists to guide you through this year's art week, including the official program, best parties, and small and alternative art fairs to visit. Because food is also art, restaurants all around Miami have announced a variety of collaborations and events that every art connoisseur and foodie can appreciate.

From collaboration dinners at Michelin-starred restaurants to exclusive takeovers during Art Week, here, listed in chronological order, are the top foodie events during Art Week 2024 that center on great art and fantastic food. (Let's be real here. It's all about the food.)

Edan Bistro Tasting Menu for Art Basel

Helmed by Michelin veteran chef/owner Aitor Garate Berasaluze, this North Miami hot spot that opened days before Art Basel last year is celebrating this year's Art Week with an exclusive tasting menu. The special eight-course dinner includes standout dishes such as a smoked corn soup with brie cheese and concha, cheese and truffle fritters, grilled grouper with roasted red pepper cream, and the chef's famous Basque cheesecake. Ostrow Brasserie Art Weel Opening Dinner with Amar'e Stoudemire, Gil Goren, Nir Segal, and Brian Poli-Dixon

The Kosher-French restaurant, helmed by world-renowned French chef Olivia Ostrow, will host an Art Week opening dinner. Hosted by Amar'e Stoudemire, NBA legend and founder of Stoudemire Wines, the four-course dinner is inspired by the works of internationally acclaimed artists Gil Goren and Nir Segal and renowned artist and former NFL player Brian Poli-Dixon. Guests will enjoy a live performance by Venezuelan artist LAMACA, and part of the proceeds will benefit the Amar'e Stoudemire Foundation, a youth outreach program designed to inspire and help at-risk youth to succeed creatively. Ghee Miami x Shake Shack Collaboration Dishes in Wynwood

Chef Niven Patel and Mo Alkassar of Ghee have partnered with Chef John Karangis, executive chef of Shake Shack, and local muralist Brian Butler to offer a mix of flavors at Ghee Wynwood featuring a specially curated culinary and art experience benefiting Feeding South Florida. Chef Patel used distinctive Indian flavors and Shake Shack's signature flair to create a menu featuring delicious bites like the "Shack Burger Arayes" made with naan crisp, lettuce, tomato, "spiced" Shack sauce, American cheese, cilantro chutney, and diced Shack cherry peppers; the pakora bites with a trio of dipping sauces: tamarind date chutney, ginger carrot ketchup and cilantro sauce; the crisp butter chicken sandwich topped with Rancho Patel green papaya-peanut slaw in cilantro-lime dressing and ghee-spiced ranch sauce on a toasted potato bun; and tikka crinkle cut cheese fries topped with Shack cheese sauce, ghee tikka sauce and fresh curry leaves. For drinks, guests can try the chai lemonade, chai tequila gimlet, and mango passionfruit lassi shake. Murals on 27th in Little Havana

Art Week is making its way to Little Havana with Murals on 27th, a collaborative mural installation featuring Latin American artists, and a special rooftop pop-up happy hour by Social 27 Cuban Supper Club. During the four-day installation, artists Didi and Chroma J (accompanied by other artists) will bring to life the mural on site, where locals and visitors have the chance to witness live art in action daily from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. (with times varying). The mural creation concludes on Friday, December 6, and will remain on display for a month after Miami Art Week. For the duration of the event, Social 27 Cuban Supper Club will host anyone who would like a unique vantage perspective of the mural installations taking place below while sipping a curated cocktail list on the new rooftop with happy hour prices. December 3 to 6 from 4 to 11:30 p.m. at 2555 SW Eighth St., Ste. 101, Miami; RSVP via eventbrite.com.

Mila x the Icons

Mila will host a live painting show in collaboration with the acclaimed artist Mr. Drip (@mrdrip), where guests can watch his art come to life. Customized menus will feature Mr. Drip's artwork and a signature cocktail named in his honor will be added to the menu. Chef's Table Diner Series

Chef's Table hosts a series of diner-style dinners on South Beach as the official culinary partner of Art Basel Miami Beach 2024. A different chef will showcase their take on diner-themed cuisine each night, and guest chefs include Michael Rafidi of Albi and Yellow Cafe in D.C., Kwame Onwuachi of Tatiana in New York City, Evan Funke of Mother Wolf, and Nancy Silverton of Mozza Restaurant Group. Cote Miami's "Basel Feast"

Reservations are already open for Cote's exclusive Basel Feast. Curated by Chef David Shim, the special menu is only available during Art Week and features A5 Wagyu, truffle tartelette, seasonal ban-chan, and selected cocktails to pair with the experience. La Mar By Gaston Acurio & Mo Bar + Lounge At Mandarin Oriental

The hotel will have exclusive art installations by renowned artists Stefania Nazzal, Shawn Kolodny, and Christopher "Flore" Florentino on display throughout the property. Pairing cocktails and art, MO Bar + Lounge will serve three signature cocktails ($24), each inspired by the works of the featured artists. At the Michelin-recommended La Mar by Gaston Acurio, artworks from artists such as Abel Bentin, Manolo Perez, and Executive Chef Diego Oka will be on display. Chef Oka is also a ceramic artist, and the eight courses of the newly launched "Amano by Oka" tasting menu experience will be presented on handcrafted ceramic plates made by the chef, merging his culinary and pottery passions. R House Wynwood's Pop-Up Art Exhibition

This year, R House is collaborating with the AIDS Healthcare Foundation (AHF) to create a pop-up art exhibition available to the public during Art Week. The activation will transform R House into an art exhibition through the work of six artists, including Hiero Veiga, Sam Kirk, Rae Senarighi, Bikismo, Antonyo Marest, and Emma Hack. There will be six different rooms as part of the installation, and each room will represent the stages of processing an HIV/AIDS diagnosis. 4 Hands Omakase Collaboration With Michelin-Starred Chef Freddy Money at Queen Omakase

Queen Omakase presents an exclusive, multi-sensory dining experience for three nights only during Art Week. The "4 Hands Omakase Collaboration" counts on Chef Freddy Money, culinary director of Michelin-starred Atlas in Atlanta, Georgia, and Queen's Chef Max Kamakura, who will present an artful, multi-course omakase. Washington DC's Xiquet x Sereia Exclusive Collab Dinner in Coconut Grove

DC-based Xiquet by Danny Lledo and Chef Miguel Massens at Sereia in Coconut Grove are coming together during Art Week for a collaboration dinner. The seven-course collaborative dinner is inspired by the coastal Mediterranean flavors of Portuguese and Spanish cuisine, and each course artfully blends Sereia's seafood-forward, Portuguese-inspired cuisine with the modern Valencian approach of Xiquet. X.O. and Kojin Collaboration Dinner in Coral Gables

Kojin, Coral Gables' hot new restaurant helmed by chef couple Pedro and Katherine Mederos, welcomes chef Sebastian Marin of Medellin's internationally acclaimed X.O., recognized as one of Latin America's 50 Best Restaurants. The chefs have curated a ten-course menu featuring dishes such as langosta (a South American spiny lobster) and crab cannelloni from X.O. as well as turbot with onion sabayon and demi-glace and venison tartar from Kojin options. Boia De x Glass2Grass: Glass & Gourmet

A returning event is the Glass and Gourmet, hosted by Glass2Grass at Boia De. Guests get to experience world-class glass artistry paired with Michelin-starred cuisine by Boia De's Alex Meyer and Luciana Giangrandi. Each ticket includes an open bar featuring exclusive collaborative drinks by Tinta y Cafe and Miami Fruit, an all-you-can-eat menu by Boia De, and access to three exhibitions: Sculptures in Silica from 3 to 5:30 p.m., showcasing intricate works by renowned glass artists like Amber Cowan and Valentine Glass; Akio x AKM from 6 to 9 o.m., a collaborative pendant showcase blending two creative forces; and Art in Function from 9:30 p.m. to midnight, featuring functional glass artistry by Swiss Perc, TK Happa, Toro Glass.
