44. Tacos at Con Sabor a Mexico
Michoacan is
the 16th largest state in Mexico, and its name in the ancient
mesoamerican nahuatl language roughly translates as a place with people
who have fish, but it is the pork tacos for which they are known that
Carnitas Estilo Michoacan refers to. Here you can get maciza
(solid), cuerito (skin), buche (stomach), oreja
(ear), tripa (intestines), lengua (tongue), or surtida
(mixed). You can also get a classic chicken taco like the one pictured
above or a steak one. The only other item on the menu is a shrimp
cocktail. You can also knock back a variety of Jarritos soda flavors at
this authentic Little Havana taco dive.
