Today We Are All Proud Americans

Uncle Luke, the man whose booty-shaking madness once made the U.S. Supreme Court stand up for free speech, gets as nasty as he wants to be for Miami New Times. In this special edition, Luke praises George W. Bush, President Barack Obama, and the U.S. soldiers who took out Osama Bin Laden.

I wish every day could be like today in America. Everybody is putting politics, race, and agendas aside to celebrate a very important moment in our country’s history. We need to thank President Bush for starting the mission to find the world’s most wanted terrorist and President Obama for telling his national security team that Bin Laden was still the number one priority. With his presidency on the line, there was no room for failure.

Knowing the history of Jimmy Carter’s monumental failed rescue of American hostages in Iran during his first term, Obama was risking his credibility had Bin Laden escaped. The president showed real guts by sending in our troops. I only wish we could know the identities of the brave men and women who executed that bastard Osama.

Those soldiers deserve the highest honor. They deserve their own monument in Washington, D.C. They should never have to pay for a meal or a home ever again. They need a parade in every major city. We need to thank them every day for the rest of their lives for ridding the world of the motherfucker behind 9/11. But for their safety, as well as that of their families, we probably won’t get to know who they are.

I was scheduled to go on CNN today to talk about the county’s mayoral race, but I don’t mind getting bumped for this. I just feel so proud and so good to be an American. We need to work hard to make sure that every day in America feels like today.
