Just saw that this was one of the featured videos on YouTube… Watch as an enterprising fellow dons an electro-chic allover-print hoodie (hood up, of course), a hair of headphones around his neck, and a prop record bag, and bullshits his way past all the “queues.” It’s amusing, but I doubt it would work in Miami — I’ve seen DJs who are actually playing at places almost not get in sometimes, thanks to unthinking goons at the door. Also, the other dead giveaway is that square record bag designed for actual records — everyone knows all the blog-house DJs these days use laptops and/or Serato! — Arielle Castillo
