Wigged-Out Pregnant Thief Targets University of Miami

A thief suspected of targeting the University of Miami is apparently stealing for two. Surveillance videos have connected the woman, who appears visibly pregnant, to thefts from various buildings on the university's Coral Gable campus. However, each time she seems to be wearing a different wig.

The University of Miami Police Department says the woman has been seen in the School of Nursing and Health Studies, the School of Business, and the Merrick Building. They believe she is around 25 years old, about 5'6 to 5'9, with a medium build offset by what seems to be a baby bump.

However, her hairstyle changes in each appearance. In one tape, she wears a short blond wig. In another, she has on a long black wig, and in another, she dons a hat over what appears to be her natural short black hair.

We've put in a call to UM Police to find out how long the suspected thefts have been going on and what has been taken.

Anyone with information is asked to call University of Miami Police at 305-284-6666 or Crime Stoppers at 305-471-TIPS (8477).
