Violent Crime Spree on Bicycles

Two men roaming through Miami on bicycles with hand guns is never a good thing. Last night at approximately 3:24 a.m. police responded to a 911 call of an armed sexual battery. They arrived at NE Miami Ave. and 74th St. to find the victim. A second woman who came up to see what was going on was also assaulted. The hunt was then on to find two black men riding around on their bicycles with hand guns.

The suspects also matched the description of an armed robbery that was reported nearby on NE 4th Ave. and 80th Street. Police tracked the suspects down shortly after. One was apprehended, but the other got away. A police officer was assaulted by one of the suspects and discharged his firearm and tazer, but no one was seriously hurt. Police are currently looking for the second suspect, who once again, got away from them while riding on his bicycle.
