As I’m reminded everytime I log onto Facebook or Twitter this week, just about everyone has an opinion on the federal government shutdown. Well, almost everyone. Rick Scott is refusing to clarify where he stands on the issue.

According to The Buzz, Scott dodged reporters’ questions on what he thinks about the shutdown, but did use the opportunity to bash President Obama.

“What I agree with is the fact that the buck stops with the president,” Scott told reporters at a media availability this moring. “It’s disappointing he doesn’t know how to compromise and negotiate. I’ve done it for three sessions.”

Right. Rick Scott master negotiator. A Republican Governor negotiating with a legislature where both houses are filled with Republican super majorities. Sure is tough work. Why can’t Obama just learn to negotiate like he does?

Scott however clearly placed the blame on President Obama, saying that he should somehow stop implementation of the Affordable Care Act.

“The president signed the bill. He could have an impact by stopping it,” he said. “He needs to put a pause on that bill.”

Well, Scotty, actually it’s not a bill. You correctly stated that its been signed by the president, which, as Schoolhouse Rock reminds is, makes it no longer a bill but a full fledged law. A law that came into creation three years ago.
