The Art of a Heist
Matisse who?: I really want to see the people who actually believe the stolen Henri Matisse painting at the center of an international police search is really worth $4 million ("Vanishing Point," Michael E. Miller, September 4). I can't swing a dead cat without hitting something of equal skill level in a high school art class. I can watch that dude every Saturday morning on PBS paint a mountain, trees, and lakes that turns out better than this painting. How could anyone sentence anyone for stealing such a tasteless picture? James G. Camp
Smut Suit
Sue those slimy bastards: Regarding the woman using an obscure Florida law to sue BangBros over a porno she appeared in ("Money Shot," Michael E. Miller, September 4): It's not her fault we have an ass-backward legal system. If the system has a flaw, she should exploit it. More people should be enraged about the laws and judicial system instead of calling this woman a slut. She's pretty smart in my book. Valyn Calhoun
Adulterers don't win: This is funny, but why are you cheating on your husband in the first place if you're going to be upset enough about it to sue? Sleeping around for money and then trying to sue the people who paid you? Yeah, I hope she doesn't win this. Tatiana Delacroix Castro
Enough with the "whore"-calling: Granted, I don't agree with this lawsuit at all. But what I find pretty disgusting are the comments labeling this woman a "whore." There are fairly successful people using such derogatory language who I'm certain have daughters, mothers, and girlfriends who are subjected to the same language. Just because you don't agree with her acts, don't spread that kind of language. Natalie Heredia
Actually genius: You're all missing the genius of this lawsuit, which is using an obscure Florida rule against adultery. She was waiting until the year after she could be touched legally under this law before filing her lawsuit! It wouldn't surprise me if her husband was in on it too. I suspect it was so the defendants had no leverage against her. If it's been less than five years since the date of the cheating, you can still sue under this law. The lawyers may not be laughing now! Eduardo Xavier Vega
Good sign of how classy this company is: I tried to share and post a comment using the porn company's website in the comment, and the post was deemed "abusive" by Facebook. I can't even type the name of this porn company, or Facebook will deem the post "abusive." Akire Giles
Not logical: How can she file the suit when she's the married one? Shouldn't she be the one getting charged and sent to jail under this obscure law? I mean, it's only right being how she has such a high regard for enforcing state laws and everything. Chandler Jackson
Cops Don't Care
Rough town: I'm not surprised to hear that the Opa-locka Police Department ignored a valid complaint about an assault on a woman ("No-Hope-a-locka," Trevor Bach, September 4). I work there, and the whole town is trash. There are uneducated people everywhere. You can't walk down the street without people asking for a dollar. Robertito L. Delatorta
Young Rapper Showcase
Where's the self-confidence?: Uncle Luke is right to highlight a new documentary about up-and-coming rappers in Miami ("A Must-See," Luther Campbell, September 4). But I especially liked this line: "Miami is the only city where radio stations and nightclubs play music only by out-of-town celebrity rappers. That's because this town is full of groupies lacking self-confidence and local pride." That's all too true. Thanks for speaking up on it. Gisselle Callejas
Not just black hip-hop in town: This is a great film about an underappreciated scene, but Miami as it is described in the film is not all black all the time. I wish they'd highlighted our many other cultures too, so I was kinda "meh." Don't get me wrong, though, it was absolutely great to watch. Manny Castillo
No Sunshine
Stop lying, FPL: In your piece about how Florida Power & Light abruptly stopped giving rebates to homeowners and contractors who put solar panels on new homes ("Solar Wars," Kyle Swenson, September 4), the group's spokesman, Mark Bubriski, claims no one has complained about the move. But that's just not true, Mr. Bubriski. As a contractor, I did complain via email to the standard rebate email address and received a response from FPL's administrator. You have received complaints. I know of others who have done so as well. Anonymous
Lily Allen's Return
She is awesome: Lily Allen's new video mocks the music industry and pop music brilliantly ("What Would Sheezus Do?" Jose D. Duran, September 4). Well done, Lily. Alex Alvarez
