Ginger, there is now no need for that gender reveal party that you planned.

Aside from former congressman Matt Gaetz's text messages revealing his mother's thoughts about her son's recent criticism of President Donald Trump, they also happened to ruin his wife's pregnancy announcement and future gender reveal.

Hours before Ginger Gaetz announced on social media that a baby was on the way, a video of the conservative TV host texting with his mother as he sat on an airplane quickly went viral on TikTok. While everyone seemed preoccupied with his mother scolding her son for being too critical of Trump and his handling of the Iranian nuclear threat, they seemed to miss the message in which Gaetz mentioned that he and Ginger are expecting. The texts were quite visible thanks to Gaetz's large font display on his phone.

In response to his mother's message, "How many times do you want to hit the wall?" Gaetz wrote, "I'm a happily married man with a son on the way, two penthouse condos, a 1:1 real estate asset to debt ratio. And $500k in my bank account. I guess I'll keep hitting till I die."

He surely was not referring to his "adopted son", Nestor Galban, whom he introduced to the world five years ago, because later on Tuesday, Ginger posted on X, "Baby Gaetz coming 2025 ✨," with a photo of her pregnant belly and the former congressman holding the ultrasound.
The video, which has since garnered over 2 million views on TikTok, shows his mother telling her son to tone down his criticism of the president because it could impact viewership for The Matt Gaetz Show on One America News Network or even cause him to lose the "media gig" altogether.

"Don't be criticizing the President on his actions," her text reads. "He's trying to keep us safe. That's his job. MAGA will turn on you. You will lose viewership. Your days in [C]ongress are over. Practice of law? Let's not mess up the media gig. The president has been a very good friend to you/He hates betrayal. Be smart, not stubborn."

As Gaetz caught wind of the video, he wrote on X, "Apparently someone sitting behind me on a flight recorded me without my knowledge.

"They found me texting my mother about news of the day, family finances, and working on my laptop. Please let this be a reminder to everyone to CALL YOUR MOTHER! (and maybe get a screen protector)," he added.

Ginger, you are going to want to cancel that gender reveal cake that you ordered.
