$7,500

Part-time Miami resident Lil Wayne didn’t exactly get the warmest homecoming when he flew into Opa-locka Airport earlier this week. According to MTV, the rapper was detained by Drug Enforcement Agency agents as his plane was searched.

The agents searched both Wayne’s person and plane for drugs, firearms and other contraband, but Lil Wanye has been in good-boy mode lately and the DEA agents came up empty handed.

The rapper is currently on felony probation after spending the better part of last year locked up in Rikers Island prison after being found guilty of firearm-related charges. No word on why Wayne’s plane was searched other than it being a condition of the probation.

Wayne will be doing a lot of traveling in a few weeks as he sets out on his I Am Music II Tour with Nicki Minaj and Rick Ross. Let’s hope his plane and person remain clean in anticipation of any other impromptu DEA searches.
