With the kickoff of the NBA season tonight, LeBron James finally will be presented with his long-awaited championship ring. He’ll also be dressed to match with a special gold edition of his signature Nike sneakers.
New colors for the Nike LeBron X aren’t all that uncommon, but these kicks are particularly special.
“This version features gold for the ring and white/red for the home uniforms they wore on June 21 when capturing the championship,” Nike says.
They’re also branded with words “MVP,” “Champ,” the Heat’s playoff record, and LeBron’s point total.
These shoes are completely different than the gold-adorned editions Nike released to celebrate LeBron winning the gold medal at the Olympic games.
