Joshua Black, St. Pete Rep. Candidate, Calls for Hanging Obama for Treason

A St. Petersburg-area candidate for the Florida House of Representatives Monday called for hanging President Barack Obama for treason.

Citing an Obama-ordered drone strike that killed an unarmed civilian, Joshua Black, a candidate for House District 68, announced first by Facebook and then by Twitter: "I'm past impeachment. It's time to arrest and hang him high."

We'll let Black tell his own story from his website:

I was born and raised in Saint Louis, Mo., as the second of ten children, all home schooled by my mother's insistence. The condition of public education in my hometown is and was abysmal, even though the school board kept getting tax increases approved. They nearly lost their accreditation twice during my school years. Meanwhile, I scored a 28 on the ACT, and a 99 on the ASVAB. Yeah. Good choice, mom.

He goes on to explain that he moved to St. Pete in 2007 and got involved in the local Republican Executive Committee. The 31-year-old drives a taxi, according to the Tampa Bay Times.

First, he posted this at 4:30 p.m. yesterday.

Then he got into a back-and-forth with another Republican, incumbent Rep. Chris Latvala.

His Facebook page has an explanation for the Obama comment:

Can't send him to military prison while he is the president. Impeachment and Conviction removes a president from office so that he may face a trial process that will adequately punish his crimes.

There is also other conservative weirdness, including a pitch for a website called Babies Are Murdered Here and rants against vaccination and Froot Loops. That's right -- Froot Loops.

Godspeed, Josh.
