Apparently those popcorn muscles aren’t enough.
In an interview aired a couple of minutes ago on ESPN, Dolphins linebacker, sack-master, and nonstop verbal diarrhea specialist Joey Porter said he feels for Plaxico Burress, the Giants wide receiver who recently shot himself in the leg at a nightclub. Porter also told ESPN he doesn’t hire bodyguards because he has a “little buddy I keep with me” — a.k.a. a handgun.
Do the Dolphins know Porter is packing?
“Do they know?” Porter responded. “Am I not supposed to protect myself, have a house with no guns in it where I just let anyone come in?”
Porter is no stranger to gunshot wounds, lest you forget. Mr. Peezy was shot in the ass outside a Denver nightclub in 2003 just before the season began.
“Until you’ve been in that situation, when you’ve been robbed at
gunpoint or you’ve had a gun waved in your face or had your house
broken into before or been carjacked, you really don’t know what it’s
like,” Porter said.
“This incident was a tough incident,” he said of Plax’s self-inflicted wound. “But he didn’t harm anyone, but harm himself. That’s what I don’t understand.”
