Miami Beach is quickly becoming the capital of parking garages designed by world renowned architects. This week, the community got its first in depth look at what the latest, designed by Zaha Hadid — perhaps the world’s leading female architect — will look like. To our relatively uninformed eyes, it looks like a really, really sleek Hot Wheels play set come to life. Which is to say, we like it!
The new lot will be constructed behind the City Ballet and Library on the site of two existing surface lots along 23rd street. In addition to parking, the complex will feature 20,000 square feet of retail and a plaza, in case you like to hang out around parking lots.
