Albert Andre Zimmerman used to have a sweet gig being the mouthpiece for Florida's Department of Children and Families, the department charged with the well being of kids. That was until he was indicted for producing child pornography back in February, 2008, and yesterday he pleaded guilty to the charges.
Zimmerman persuaded six teenage boys from Hillsborough and Orange counties to do naughty things and take pictures. Occasionally he would direct the boys in which poses they should assume, and often offered to pay them. He also is charged with selling the images to a third party, and making them available online. At least one of the boys confirmed to have been a foster child.
Zimmerman had previously worked as a reporter for a Tampa area news station before landing his state gig, and had previously found himself on the wrong side of the law for writing bad checks and a DUI conviction in '93.
