Money is tight everywhere, and really, unless you win the lottery or sue someone, your economic future is looking a bit grim. The schools are no exception. They already benefit from Lotto, so the next logical step to scare up some cash is to sue the pants off of someone, and according to Local10, that is just what Alberto Carvalho, who is experienced in the pants-off department, plans to do.
At a meeting this afternoon, he is reportedly going to ask the school board to hire a $400-an-hour lawyer to sue the State of Florida to recoup $25 million apparently lost when the state recalibrated its funding formula in July.
