Andy Roddick is still America’s best hope for men’s tennis glory, but he hasn’t won a Grand Slam since 2003 and hasn’t won the Sony Ericsson Open since 2004. After a few disappointing years, he seems to be back to form and recently staged a comeback against Rafael Nadal to advance to the finals in this year’s Miami Masters.

Nadal took the first set, but Roddick ended up winning 4-6, 6-3, 6-3. Roddick will face the winner of the match between Robin Soderling and Tomas Berdych.

An American hasn’t made it to the men’s finals in Key Biscayne since Roddick’s win in 2004.
