While it is not immediately clear if the Miami Dolphins will return this fall with star wide receiver Tyreek Hill and cornerback Jalen Ramsey on their roster, the Phins know that they will face their usual divisional opponents, the NFC South, and the AFC North, this coming season.
In terms of 2024-25 winning percentage, at .474, the Dolphins rank 21st out of 32 teams when it comes to strength of schedule. They are tied with the Seattle Seahawks. So, hey, Mike McDaniel and Chris Grier, the pressure is on.
The Dolphins will open the season against the Indianapolis Colts. The Phins, who have become notorious for not playing their best in the cold, thankfully avoid the brutal Buffalo winter during the regular season. However, players will have to brave the winter cold in Pittsburgh, New Jersey, and New England.
In other news, the team will have five prime-time games: week 3 in Buffalo against the reigning AFC East champions on Thursday Night Football, week 4 in Miami against the New York Jets on Monday Night Football; week 9 in Miami against the Baltimore Ravens on Thursday Night Football again, week 15 in Pittsburgh against the Steelers on Monday night, and week 16 in Miami on Sunday Night Football against Joe Burrow and the Cincinnati Bengals.
Perhaps the biggest news is that the Dolphins will be taking their talents overseas to play the Washington Commanders at Santiago Bernabéu Stadium in Madrid, Spain. The game is set to kick off at 9:30 a.m. EST on November 16 during Week 11. It will be the first-ever NFL game in Madrid.
No spirit can outlast the one that’s building beneath the surface.
