Going for the Haitian vote.

Lord knows the Democrats are going to have to pull out all of the stops this November to take over the White House and this latest news might help them do it...or it could backfire.

According to NME, part-time Miami resident Wyclef Jean along with Kanye West and N.E.R.D. are slated to perform at the upcoming Democratic National Convention on August 25 in Denver.

That's an interesting selection of artists. Wyclef is probably there to bring in the Haitian/immigrant vote, N.E.R.D. should reel in the hipsters, and Kanye, well, that's where things could get sticky. He's almost guaranteed to fly off the handle and say some shit which is inevitably going to be on Fox News 20 minutes later. I don't know if I would have picked Kanye since he's such an egomaniac but so be it. He's from Chicago and people love to watch him perform.

There's a host of other celebs who are also supposed to be in attendance such as Barack's text message buddy, Scarlett Johansson, Forrest Whittaker, Ben Affleck, Warren Beatty, Ed Norton, and others. It's going to be interesting either way.

I just wonder if Wyclef will be allowed to sing this song when he performs.
