UPDATE: We've extended the deadline until August 24 to allow for more submissions.

With his debut album, Brown Sugar, a 21-year-old D’Angelo helped invent a genre. Five years later, the sexually and spiritually explicit Voodoo revealed the maturation of a young man and perpetuated the artist’s spectacular rise. After a 14-year hiatus full of personal ups and downs, the founder of neo soul reemerged in late 2014 with Black Messiah, a funk- and soul-infused album that reclaimed D’Agenlo's title as a tastemaker and musical game changer.

The album had critics across the world kneeling at his altar. Our northern sister, the Village Voice, named it album of the year in its annual Jazz + Pop PollBlack Messiah's poignant social and political themes struck chords in the wake of the Ferguson unrest. We may have waited 14 years for the album – but it was so apropos.

Along with his band, the Vanguard, D'Angelo heads to South Florida on October 6 to perform at the Fillmore Miami Beach. Tickets officially go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday, August 14, at the Fillmore Miami Beach box office or at livenation.com and by phone at 800-745-3000 — but a Live Nation presale begins at 10 a.m. today for those with a special offer code (we don't know what the code is... try waffles? Maybe?).

But that's not why you're reading this. You're reading this because we promised you free tickets. And you like free. It's one of your top three favorite words, behind "pizza" and "yes."

So here's how you can win two free tickets to D'Angelo's Fillmore show.

Remember this iconic image from D'Angelo's "Untitled (How Does It Feel)" music video?
Released on January 1, 2000, the single quickly became the sexiest thing of the new millennium, and its accompanying music video was almost too sensual for this planet. It earned D'Angelo his unquestionable status as a sex symbol and had men everywhere flocking to their personal trainers, asking, "How do I get those little 'V' muscles that lead right down to my unmentionables?"

We want you to re-create this photo. And no, not just you, fellas. This contest is open to ladies, pets, action figures, pieces of fruit, anything. Creative interpretation is encouraged and nudity is not necessary. You don't even have to take your shirt off. So channel your inner-D'Angelo, strike this pose, and tweet your photo at @Crossfade_SFL with the hashtag #DAngeloMiami.

We'll be retweeting our favorites along the way, but we won't pick an official winner until Monday, August 24, at 3 p.m. We'll tweet at whoever takes our favorite photo (remember, points for creativity) on Monday, and then you can direct-message us your contact info so we can tell you how to pick up your tickets.

Start brainstorming and run to the store to get some baby oil. This is a show you do not want to miss, so start snapping away!
