Back in the Eighties, The Silos’ sound matched the tones of Americana acts such as Los Lobos, X, and R.E.M., helping to define the flourishing alt-country genre of today. After a nonstop fall tour with the Silos, Humara, an ex-Fort Lauderdale resident, plays his old stomping grounds this Wednesday. And, as with any Florida expatriate, we gleefully celebrate his return, only to talk smack when he leaves us again.
