Ladies, get ready to be swept off your feet by not one, but two RnB icons this December.
After teasing fans on Instagram earlier this week, Usher and Chris Brown have announced a joint stadium tour that will take them across the country, with a Miami stop set for December 3 at Hard Rock Stadium.
Produced by Live Nation, the 33-date run kicks off Friday, June 26 at Empower Field at Mile High in Denver and will make its way through major cities including Detroit, Chicago, Toronto, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Houston, Atlanta, Washington, D.C., and Miami before wrapping up Friday, December 11 at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa. The tour will also partner with Global Citizen, with $1 from every ticket sold going toward the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund to help expand access to quality education for children around the world.
For Miami fans, the concert lands during one of the busiest times of the year, with Miami Art Week in full swing. Traffic will almost definitely be a nightmare, but at least the soundtrack for the chaos will be worth it.
The announcement comes on the heels of major career highs for both artists. Chris Brown, who keeps trying to leave his legal problems behind, recently wrapped his sold-out Breezy Bowl XX World Tour, a global run celebrating the 20th anniversary of his career. The tour became Brown’s highest-grossing trek to date and the highest-grossing tour ever by a solo Black American male artist, pulling in nearly $300 million and drawing 2 million fans across stadiums in North America, Europe, and the United Kingdom. Miami fans got a taste of that energy last year when Brown hit LoanDepot Park, commanding the stage for two hours with a set full of deep cuts and major hits that kept the crowd on its feet all night.
Usher, meanwhile, has been enjoying a remarkable run of his own. Since his viral, steamy Las Vegas residency became a cultural phenomenon, the R&B legend has only continued to build momentum. His 2024 Super Bowl performance reminded the world exactly why he remains one of the genre’s most electrifying entertainers, and by the end of 2024, the North American leg of Usher: Past, Present, Future had sold more than 1.1 million tickets across 62 sold-out shows, with multiple nights in several cities, before an equally successful European leg followed.
Now, with both stars coming off record-breaking runs, this co-headlining stadium tour is shaping up to be one of the biggest live events of the year. For Miami, this is a chance to see two of R&B’s most enduring hitmakers share a stage in the middle of one of the city’s most chaotic and high-energy weeks.
