But why not just go crazy and get drunk? Bars, lounges, and clubs across the Magic City are cranking up the magic on Valentine's Day with parties, drink specials, and dancing.



Even if you haven't been hit by Cupid's arrow, you still have a reason to celebrate ... You're single.

All you have to do is share your love story with Cupid. Literally. Email [email protected] with how and when you met your other half at Mansion. The couple with the sweetest story will win free admission. The most romantic part of it all ... Seeing your name flashing on Mansion's Washington Avenue marquee and receive VIP status all night with limo service and a VIP table filled with champagne, sweets, and flowers. You will definitely score.

The Indiana native got hooked on techno at a young age. And ever since, it's been a love affair with beats. All that uhntz-uhntz-ing romance took him overseas to Berlin where he attracted big names like German minimal queen Magda and Canadian cruiser Marc Houle. Pierce ended up forming the group Run Stop Restore and scored a spot on Richie Hawtin's elite MINUS label roster. But his passion only continues to grow. Join the love fest as Troy celebrates the day of love with Treehouse resident Ms. Mada.

you combine beats, vocals, and Canadian talent, you get Jacques Greene.

The DJ-producer mixes techno with snippets of vocals to create a

subtle sound that is dance-friendly and lounge-friendly.

Andres Amadeus and Diego Martinelli will accompany Greene as they create

the soundtrack for Valentine's.




Generation Wild Tour. With Deniz Koyuz, Danny Avila, dBerrie, Mikael Weermets, and Mednas. 11 p.m. Thursday, February 14, LIV Nightclub, 4441 Collins Ave., Miami; 305-674-4680; livnightclub.com. Tickets cost $30 to $40 plus fees via wantickets.com. Things are going to get wild this V-Day. That's because the Generation Wild Tour

is turning up the heat at LIV with up-and-coming DJs Danny Avila, Deniz

Koyuz, dBerrie, and Mednas. Expect EDM madness.

Hated for Loving: A Smiths/Morrissey Tribute Night. With Ordinary Boys, Girlfriend in a Coma, DJ Dracula's Daughter, and

celebrated day of love to them with covers by the Ordinary Boys and

you'll get a good cry outta this party.




Kill Cupid: Valentine's Day Singles Party. 10 p.m. Thursday, February 14, Brickell Irish Pub, 1451 S. Miami Ave., Miami; 305-381-6651; brickellirishpub.com. Free. You've

heard of an "I Hate Valentine's Day Party." But apparently, Brickell

Irish Pub really hates Valentine's Day. In fact, they seem to hate it so

much that they want to assassinate the holiday's cherubic mascot. But with drink specials, happy hour, and live music, who wouldn't want to be a murderer of love? Kill Cupid!
