Three Degrees Launch Party

Three Degrees (www.3degreesglobal.com) is an online community that consists of house heads and other conoisseurs of “real” music. Far more exclusive than Cooljunkie or Clubplanet, you have to apply to join, and its membership currently stands at a relatively small, intimate 4000 members. Now, the Chicago website is expanding its borders to include Miami, and it is celebrating the occasion with a launch party at Marlin Bar that should draw our own, equally close-knit underground house scene. Helping them kick things off is Tortured Soul, the fabulous analog band whose debut album, Introducing, disproves the notion that all dance music is “machine music.” On the decks are Windy City jocks Big Sexy, Ed Dunn, Julius the Mad Thinker, and South Florida spinner Sheldon Prince.
