The fine folks at The Talent Farm, Broward County's finest independent show space/recording studio, are doing a little experimenting. One of the cornerstones of their online presence is the ability to stream all the shows onto the internet. Due to some technical issues (i.e. too many people were taking them up on the offers) the service got bogged down now and again, so they've decided to go with a new service (Ustream) to deliver their video streams.
They're still working out some bugs (mostly related to browser compatibility) and the videos skip a little more frequently now, but they promise to have those bugs worked out in the next week or two. The best part about the new video delivery system is the archive function. Now, the shows will be available online immediately after the amps are unplugged and we all have access to them whenever we'd like.

Keep Miami New Times Free... Since we started Miami New Times, it has been defined as the free, independent voice of Miami, and we would like to keep it that way. Offering our readers free access to incisive coverage of local news, food and culture. Producing stories on everything from political scandals to the hottest new bands, with gutsy reporting, stylish writing, and staffers who've won everything from the Society of Professional Journalists' Sigma Delta Chi feature-writing award to the Casey Medal for Meritorious Journalism. But with local journalism's existence under siege and advertising revenue setbacks having a larger impact, it is important now more than ever for us to rally support behind funding our local journalism.
