You’ve heard me gush over the grrrly bands The State Of and Bonnie Riot (previously Sno Cones) on Crossfade before. The State Of takes drum n bass out of the jungle for a dark but fun mix of piano and percussion. Word is they’re having a CD release party sometime in September. They’ll play with Bonnie Riot September 11 at Propaganda. Bonnie Riot, a band that blends amazing stage presence with the raw rock of the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, is also playing tonight as part of Propaganda’s Grand Opening week.
