*Jazid beings its weekend-long 14th anniversary celebration tonight with the debut of its new reggae party, Freeup Fridays, featuring live music tonight by Jahfe and Mixed Culture. Admission is free before 9 p.m., $10 after. Click here for full details. 

*Celebrate Sweat head Lolo Reskin's birthday tonight at the Vagabond, with a special CD release show by John Hancock of Awesome New Republic. His new record, Antenna Death, is technically a solo outfit, but he'll be backed by an 11-piece band for the occasion. Admission is free before 11 p.m., $5 after. *Punk rockers To Be Hated celebrate the release of their latest CD, and try to drum up some tour money, with a show tonight at Churchill's.
