Silencio, which Vogue dubbed "the chicest club in Paris," is coming to Miami Beach. The Miami Beach Edition announced that the club will take over its Basement nightclub December 3-5 for a three-day takeover to celebrate the hotel's tenth anniversary.
If you are unfamiliar with Silencio, the Parisian hot spot was designed by filmmaker and artist David Lynch as an ode of sorts to Club Silencio from his film Mulholland Drive. Expect the Miami pop-up to be filled with a who's who of the glitterati in town for Miami Art Week. (Also, expect the doorman to be very discriminating about who can pass through the velvet ropes.)
This isn't the first time Silencio has appeared in Miami. It first arrived in 2012 at the Delano and again in 2013 and 2016 in the Miami Design District. The club has also dazzled VIPs at events like Cannes and recently opened a New York City outpost.
There is no word yet on the music to expect at the Miami Beach pop-up, but the Miami Beach Edition promises that all will be revealed soon.
Silencio Pop-Up. Tuesday, December 3, through Thursday, December 5, at Basement, 2901 Collins Ave., Miami Beach; 786-257-4600; basementmiami.com.
