It's a well-recorded rule that a smart man never speaks of a woman's age. Still, Myriam Hernandez is no spring chicken, which isn't to say that the 43-year-old Chilean songstress and television personality isn't still a hottie. But she's put in her time -- and then some.
Hernandez started her lifelong career in entertainment at the tender age of 11 when she appeared on Generacion Joven in her native Chile. She tallied other small screen appearances on soaps and shows like Sabado Gigante. But it wasn't until 1989 that she broke into the music biz, launching her career as a singer with an eponymous debut, fueled by "El Hombre Que Yo Amo" ("The Man I Love") and "Ay Amor" ("Oh My Love").
Fast forward 22 years and the singer-songwriter continues to tour and record, delighting fans with her signature heart-wrenching, romantic, Latin pop ballads. In all, she has released eight albums, including 2007's Enamorandome as well as eponymous albums Dos, III and IV (no doubt the work of some label marketing geniuses), which spawned hits like "Ese Hombre" ("That Man"). No doubt, there will be more discs and more hits.
