Latin Songwriters Hall of Fame Launches in Miami, Announces 2013 Nominees

The Latin Songwriters Hall of Fame's official mission: "To educate, preserve, honor and celebrate the legacy of the greatest Latin songwriters from all over the world and their music in every genre."

Founded by a Grammy-winning pair of writer-producers -- multimillion-selling Songwriter Hall of Fame inductee Desmond Child (Bon Jovi, Ricky Martin, Katy Perry) along with Billboard Songwriter of the Decade and 30-year pop music vet Rudy Perez (Julio Iglesias, Beyonce, Marc Anthony) -- the Latin Song Hall just held its official launch ceremony in Miami.

The LSHOF also announced 24 nominees "from all regions of the Spanish and Portuguese-speaking worlds" for its first five-artist class, set to be honored at the inaugural induction ceremony on Tuesday, April 23, 2013.

Check the cut for the Latin Song Hall's full list of nominated artists, including Julio Iglesias, Joan Manuel Serrat, Jose Feliciano, and 21 others.
