III Points Adds New Acts to 2015 Lineup: Neon Indian, Tangowerk, and More

Summer has always been our winter. These are the months we Floridians dread going outside for fear of being reduced to a sunburnt ball of sweat. Tourists flock back to their native lands. Restaurants experience their slowest months of the year. And, sadly, the music scene suffers too.

But luckily there is a light at the end of the tunnel. And for this entire summer, South Florida music fans have had a big red X over October 9 through the 11 on their calendars. That X, of course, marks the start of III points, and today you can make it a little bigger, because III Points just added 12 new acts to their already gargantuan lineup.

And those acts are:

  • Neon Indian
  • Tangowerk
  • Life on Planets
  • Bluejay
  • Phantasman
  • Kodiak Fur
  • Ohashi
  • Manuvers
  • Kid Moss
  • Illsnafu
  • Maure

This new addition of local and national talent will join previously announced acts like Nicolas Jaar, Panda Bear, Run the Jewels, King Krule, Bonobo, and more.

This year will mark the third, and most ambitious, edition of III Points. With a three day lineup filled with art, technology, and, obviously, music, 2015 is shaping up to be a make-or-break year for III Points. But as we learned a few weeks ago, the III Points team is staying cool under pressure.

"Everyone wants it to work," cofounder David Sinopoli told us in an interview earlier this month. "There are no real obstacles. After the first year, a lot of people came to the table and said, 'Awesome idea. How can we help?' There is an understanding if this does work, it's good for the whole city."

Tickets are on sale now and you can check out the official III Points trailer below. Just play it about 43,000 times in a row and before you know it, it'll be October 9!

III Points 2015. October 9 to 11 at Mana Wynwood, 318 NW 23rd St., Miami. Tickets cost $99 plus fees via squadup.com. Visit iiipoints.com.
