Oh melodic death metal, how did you ever become a genre all your own? It must have something to do with the rise in popularity of bands like All That Remains. ATR have been harmonizing death metal since the late ’90s (1998 to be exact) and have sold nearly a half million physical copies of their music. They were propelled into the mainstream thanks to being featured in torture-porn film Saw II and on Guitar Hero II.

They’re currently on the Rockstar Energy Mayhem Festival and have just announced they’ll be taking part in the Harddrive Live tour as soon as they’re finished with that. Joining ATR at Culture Room on November 5 are Lacuna Coil, Maylene & The Sons of Disaster and Taking Dawn.

Tickets go on sale August 21 through Ticketmaster.
