If you used to be into partying all night but now, some years later, are looking for healthier ways to use your energy, this weekend could be your chance. How does a run club and a rave sound? After making headlines over the holiday break for hanging out with Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr., DJ and producer Diplo seems to be taking health very seriously — he’ll host Diplo’s Run Club Miami 5K at Maurice Ferré Park in Downtown this weekend.
More than 7,000 runners are expected to hit the pavement alongside the musician, who is known for both his solo projects and his work with Major Lazer. The 3.1-mile route will showcase sweeping views of Miami’s waterfront and skyline, serving up a truly scenic sweat sesh.
But the race is only the warm-up. After crossing the finish line, runners can stick around for a full-blown post-race party featuring openers Coco & Breezy and a headline set from Diplo himself. It’s a rave-meets-run moment that feels so Miami it hurts, in the best way.

The idea for Diplo’s Run Club was sparked back in 2022, when the DJ ran the Miami Half Marathon and then headed straight to the decks for a set. Now, that spontaneous moment has evolved into a full-fledged event series, launching in the very city that inspired it. The events have also popped up in other cities, such as Philadelphia, Seattle, Los Angeles, and San Francisco, last year.
Participants can register at the event’s website, and there’s more to this activity than just fitness and fun. In partnership with Plus 1, a portion of the proceeds will support Good Sports, which provides new athletic gear to different communities, including high-need youth in South Florida.

Diplo joins a growing wave of artists blending wellness with music — Gunna hosted his own Miami run club back in December. But Diplo’s Run Club ups the ante, turning the run into a full sensory celebration.
Whether you’re here for the cardio, the cause, or the afterparty, this Saturday’s event proves that in Miami, even fitness comes with a beat drop.
