16 year old actress and pop star Demi Lovato is kicking off a huge summer tour in support of her debut album “Don’t Forget” and is hitting the BankAtlantic Center on August 1. Demi is also the current star of Disney Channel’s Sonny With A Chance, so if you have kids, they’ll most likely know exactly who she is. What you might not know is what makes her amazingly cool: in a December 2008 interview with MTV, Demi confessed her love for heavy metal. And we’re not talking System of a Down and new Metallica metal. We’re talking Dimmu Borgir and Lamb of God. Seriously. Awesome. It doesn’t show up in her music by any stretch, but there’s hope that once the teen pop sensation angle fades….
