After skipping Miami entirely on her last world tour, Billie Eilish has announced she's making up for lost time with three shows at downtown Miami's Kaseya Center this fall.
Eilish added 23 new dates to Hit Me Hard and Soft: The Tour this morning, including three concerts in Miami on October 9, 11, and 12. Tickets go on sale this Thursday, May 22, at noon.
The musical prodigy and her brother/collaborator, Finneas, last played in Miami in March 2020, when she kicked off her first arena tour in support of her debut studio album, When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?
New Times contributor David Rolland reviewed the show, taking note of the fervor the then-18-year-old inspired in her young fans: "It has been said the Beatles quit touring because they couldn't hear themselves play during concerts. This writer always took that for mythology — until this show. To see a teen idol at the peak of popularity in a live setting is nothing short of insane."
The tour lasted only three dates, with the rest canceled by the COVID pandemic.
Maybe Eilish took that personally, because after kicking off that tour in Miami, she skipped the city entirely for Happier Than Ever, The World Tour, which spanned from 2022 to 2023. She snubbed Miami once more during the original run of dates for her Hit Me Hard And Soft: The Tour; a streak she'll finally break with the three October shows, more than five years after her last appearance in South Florida.
