Tripping Animals' Daniel Chocron, Ignacio Montenegro, Iker Elorriaga, and Juan Manuel Torres founded their brewery in Doral with the idea that everyone could get trippy. To that end, the Tripping team imbues everything they do with party-hearty gusto. The taproom is well-known for its large-format festivals, insanely fruity sours, heavy-hitting IPAs, and creative animal-themed can art. Hungry? Tripping Animals' in-house eatery, Gorilla City Sandwiches, offers some of the best barbecue in town. The menu features Texas-style brisket as well as smoked turkey and pulled pork, plus sides like classic coleslaw, traditional potato salad, baked beans, and roasted mushrooms. The perfect pairing: the "Brisket Sando" — a half-pound of meat on a toasted Sullivan Street focaccia-style bun — with a pint of Tripping Animals' easy-drinking "No Mames" Mexican-style lager.
