Tarpoon Dive Center

Believe it or not, diving's been going on in Miami for more than 60 years. And Hialeah's Tarpoon Dive Center is where the underwater action basically began. This famous diving outpost was founded by the legendary Mike Kevorkian - and it’s now run by his daughters. Here, you'll find staff that lives and breathes diving, so they can answer pretty much any question you'd conceivably come up with. In addition to stocking all the diving supplies you need, they offer certification classes in English, Spanish and Portuguese. The location also boasts lots of dive memorabilia - and an indoor heated pool. They also have a Miami Beach outpost - if you're not into trekking west.
