Rosenstiel School of Marine and Atmospheric Science

Hidden deep in the labyrinthine halls of the University of Miami's Rosenstiel School of Marine and Atmospheric Science is a gem of a bar with cheep beer and a waterfront view. Located on the way to Key Biscayne, RSMAS Wetlab (4600 Rickenbacker Causeway, Miami) is not just a place for students to watch dolphins play while imbibing; its doors are open for the rest of us, too. For those with a hankering for bar games, there's a pool table, and for those likely to smoke, there are plenty of places to sit outside by the water. The bar is only open on Wednesday and Thursday from 5 to 9 p.m. and closes earlier if there are no customers, and from 4:30 to 11 p.m. on Fridays. RSMAS offers drinkers front row seats for the sunset. Bring cash, but no need to bring too much. Though there's fancy beer available, the priciest pitcher is $9.50 and cups start at $2.75
