Hidden inside the New Hotel, Lou's Beer Garden is a hip, inviting place to kick back and relax. No need to dress up; just throw on some flip-flops and head to this North Beach gastropub. Diners looking for a restaurant will be surprised to find only a small bar in the hotel's courtyard. Tables surround the swimming pool, where hotel guests and beer enthusiasts hang out. Order from a selection of about 12 microbrews, including Chimay Triple, Rogue Dead Guy Ale, and Flying Dog Brewery's Raging Bitch. Start with crowd-favorite crispy sardines and then move on to other tasty creations. Try Lou's Beach Market Burger, served with traditional condiments, lettuce, onions, bacon, and feta and American cheeses. Sit back, kick off the flip-flops, and enjoy good beer and food.
