OK, I almost got booted out of the store trying to photograph these this week:
…evidently management doesn’t look kindly on paparazzi skulking around the produce aisle. Pictured above, not exactly the Nicole Kidmans of the botanic world, these have a face only a mother could love. But they taste good, which only goes to show that true beauty is on the inside.
Or, as The Prophet says:
Beauty is not in the face;
beauty is a light in the heart.
Since this one’s fairly easy I’m requesting that guessers post not only the common name, but also its country of origin.
First prize this week is a group hug from the New Times staff. Second prize is a bunny with a pancake on its head.
