Food trucks these days are big business. Midway Ford in Doral hopes a collection of at least ten trucks will bring in car buyers and fun seekers alike.
“We did something like this 20 years ago,” recalls sales manager Rafael Gil. “We had a circus, old cars. But that was many moons ago.”
Tonight’s gathering will be the first at Midway Ford. It also will be something new for the trucks, which have been chased out of locations including the VFW just off Biscayne Boulevard owing to alleged code violations.
Invited to tonight’s gathering are Latin Burger, Dim Ssam a Go Go, Daddy’s Grill, Sugar Rush, Mexzican Gourmet, Latin House Grill, Churromania, and Ms.Cheezious, among others.
Gil says “it will bring people in from all over the place,” adding, “and maybe it will sell a few cars.”
