Taste of the Nation, the event that brings together Miami’s best chefs to benefit Share Our Strength, will celebrate its silver anniversary with a stellar lineup of food and drink.
On Thursday, July 19, more than three dozen restaurants will offer their best bites to sample at the Turnberry Isle Resort.
Some of the restaurants participating in the 25th anniversary bash include 1500 Degrees at Eden Roc, Bourbon Steak, DB Bistro Moderne, De Rodriguez Cuba, the Dutch, Edge Steak and Bar, the Forge, Joe’s Stone Crab, Lantao Kitchen, Meat Market, Mercadito, Red the Steakhouse, Rosa Mexicano, Sugarcane Raw Bar Grill, Tudor House, and Yardbird Southern Table and Bar. The evening will be presented by event chair chef Allen Susser and
restaurant chair chef André Bienvenu of Joe’s Stone Crab. WPLG-TV’s Laurie
Jennings and Calvin Hughes, along with Gulfstream Park chef Ralph
Pagano, will host the live auction.
The event runs from 7 to 10
p.m., and tickets cost $125 each. VIP tickets cost $250 and include a
special 6 p.m. reception hosted by Palate Party food truck owner and
current Hell’s Kitchen contestant Robyn Almodovar.
One hundred percent of
ticket sales will go to Share Our Strength, with funds raised in Miami
benefiting three local organizations: Feeding South Florida, Flipany, and
