Sakaya Kitchen is holding what could very well be the first ever Burger Brunch this Sunday at noon as part of Miami’s Burger Month festivities.

For this Sunday morning only, Richard Hales is closing Sakaya Kitchen’s doors and turning the restaurant into a giant breakfast buffet for the ticketed-only event.

It will include kimchi eggs, kimchi grilled cheese, kimchi grits, southern-style steak perogies and selections from Sakaya Kitchen’s Dim Ssam Sunday brunch.

Hales is also making a variety of brunch-worthy burgers, including his take on the Juicy Lucy (a cheeseburger with the cheese cooked into the meat) and the frita.

He also plans on serving a special dish, the Burger Beast, an “obnoxious chunk-tot version” of a skillet — a mashup of spicy tots, cheese, onions, bulgogi burger, bacon, hotdog, and kimchi scrambled eggs.

Rounding out the afternoon is a selection of summer drinks and desserts.

Tickets are $35 per person and are available through the Burger Beast website. Seating is limited so get cracking.
