There’s a new place to dig into freshly made pies in Wynwood. This week, Miami’s Pink Pie opened its first brick-and-mortar steps from Wynwood Walls.
The concept, which launched in September 2016 at Hollywood’s Yellow Green Farmers Market, specializes in three-inch sweet and savory pies, from s’mores to bacon, egg, and cheese.
The 900-square-foot space, which opened to the public Thursday, features industrial-style decor with subway-tiled walls, lots of concrete, and an enormous sign reading, “Don’t be shy, eat some pie.”
Guests can sample a dozen permanent and rotating flavors, some filled with Oreo and Nutella, guava and cheese, key lime, or salted caramel, and others topped with onion and duck confit. Right now, limited-edition favorites include tiramisu, caramel pretzel, and hot cocoa.

“Customers can enjoy a whole pie experience without committing to one large single flavor or merely a slice,” cofounder Paloma Machado-McGowan told New Times last summer.
The s’mores pie, which is smoked with hickory wood and filled with burnt marshmallow cream to re-create a campfire experience, is among the best sellers. Vegan and gluten-free varieties – such as matcha and passionfruit chocolate – are available too.
All pies are the same price. Savory flavors cost $3.50 apiece, while sweet pies run $3.50 for one, $6 for two, $11 for four, $15 for six, $19 for eight, and $28 for a dozen.
The shop also offers a treat called a “pies-cream sandwich” – a choice of two pies with a scoop of ice cream ($6.50) – as well as pie milkshakes ($7) and a full beverage program with coffee and tea. Beer and wine will be available in the future.
In addition to operating its Wynwood storefront, Pink Pie, which was created by husband-and-wife team Michael McGowan and Paloma Machado-McGowan, will continue to appear at the Yellow Green Farmers Market on weekends.
