As part of their All You Can Eat Tour, hipster recording artists Peter Bjorn and John were in Coconut Grove yesterday to give away some (no, not peanut butter and jelly) free grilled cheese sandwiches to the first 30 lucky fans who showed up at the Ms. Cheezious food truck at The Shops of Mayfair yesterday and said the secret code” gimme some grilled cheese”.
Peter Bjorn and John are on a seven city tour that will see them giving away free food truck love. Miami was included in the list of major U.S. spots. The other free food zones are New York, Washington D.C., Houston, Chicago, San Francisco , and Los Angeles.
The free sammys and sodas (yup, you got a soda, too) went quickly. By 3:30 p.m., all 30 grilled delights were taken and both band and truck were packed up and ready to go! Guess everyone likes PB&J — and grilled cheese!
