Fort Lauderdale has a new rooftop bar with some of the best views in Broward County — and it may be a contender for 2026’s 10 Best Bars in Fort Lauderdale update. Ibis Sky Lounge, an adults-only indoor-outdoor rooftop lounge, recently opened atop the new Omni Fort Lauderdale Hotel, offering sweeping views of the coastline and the Intracoastal Waterway.
Designed as a polished escape from the city below, the lounge is ideal for date nights, post-dinner drinks, or a nightcap after an event at the connected Broward County Convention Center.

Small Plates Designed for Sharing
Under the direction of executive chef Cristian Mosquera, a native of Greater Fort Lauderdale and a Le Cordon Bleu-trained chef, the hotel’s culinary program celebrates regional ingredients and global influences.
The Ibis Sky Lounge’s menu leans toward small plates rather than full meals, making it better suited for sharing than settling in for dinner. Seafood-forward options, like oysters and caviar, sit alongside Latin-inspired bites, such as short rib empanadas and chicken tostones. One crowd-pleasing standout is the wagyu beef carpaccio, which has quickly become a favorite among early guests.

Globally-Inspired Cocktails With a Creative Edge
Cocktails are where Ibis Sky Lounge really shines. The menu balances globally inspired creations with elevated takes on classics, ranging from the “Strawberry White Negroni and the “Luxardo Bitter Bianco” to the “Cinnamon Roll Old Fashioned,” featuring Basil Hayden’s bourbon and spiced pear-cinnamon reduction.
Tropical notes appear in drinks like the “Pink Paloma” and “Pineapple Cilantro Margarita,” while coffee lovers will gravitate toward the “Ibis Espresso,” crafted with vodka, cacao, and a roasted Oaxacan coffee blend. Zero-proof options, including an Amaretti Sour and a ginger-forward El Burro, ensure non-drinkers aren’t an afterthought.
A Coastal Retreat in the Sky
Perched above the marina, Ibis Sky Lounge feels less like a typical rooftop bar and more like an elevated coastal retreat. Woven textures, warm wood accents, and sculptural lighting give the space a modern, refined feel. Neutral tones, floor-to-ceiling windows, and outdoor fire pits create a relaxed atmosphere that’s especially appealing at sunset.
The lounge offers a noticeably more polished experience than the hotel’s sports bar, Fair Ketch, which caters to a livelier, game-day crowd. Although there’s no official dress code listed online, guests are advised to plan accordingly. This is not a flip-flops-and-shorts kind of rooftop. One Instagram user even reported being turned away for wearing shorts, despite the bar’s beach-adjacent location.
The Omni Fort Lauderdale Hotel opened in mid-December 2025 and features more than 800 modern guest rooms, with Ibis Sky Lounge positioned as its most elevated (and scenic) drinking destination. Conveniently connected to the Broward County Convention Center, Omni Fort Lauderdale Hotel is inspired by Florida’s diverse landscapes.
